How Old Is This Little Curviceps?

I recently bought a little Laetacara curviceps from the lfs, and I'm not really sure how old it might be? It's definitely not fully grown. It's just a little over an inch long.
 
Does anyone know how old it is? Is there any special care for a young-ish fish?

If it were purely down to size, a curviceps brought up in a big enough tank and fed well could reach this size in 6 months (probably less). Were there a lot of them in the LFS tank? if there were it would likely mean they were bred recently. If it was on its own then who knows. Curviceps are reasonably peaceful cichlids. Why not get some more?
