How Often Do They Breed?

I'm considering getting a male and female betta possibly, and just wanted to know how often they breed?

Well you can't keep them together, they aren't livebearers, and they'll kill each other if they're in together. Maybe after mating but then, eventually, one of them will come to an untimely end. I suggest reading the pinned topics before even thinking about it...

a male will be ready breed at any time when there is a female visible whether it be in the next tank or through a divider or funnel glass, that is as long as hes got his nest up and running, a female once spawned will be ready again to spawn in 10-16 days after.this give her enough time to generate more eggs[

Some males never breed. Some couples don't get on. Some males would rather fight than make love. Some ladies will get annoyed with an inexperienced male and give him a thrashing.
