How offen u guy find fish jerky outside u tank?

A goldfish...

He didn't die. When I moved him into this apartment I'm in now, I was waiting for the glass lid to their tank to get taken out of the U-Haul. The tank had been filled, the goldfish acclimated and everything, but I wisely stuck the glass top in the very back of the U-Haul.

So while I was waiting for access to the lid, my dad and I were watching him swim around all elegant like. My dad made some comment to the effect of "it's so relaxing to watch him swim" and at that point, the fish made a bee-line for the top of the tank and flew clear onto the floor.

Luckily this was BEFORE I ripped up the carpet in that room and stained the concrete...

had a butterfly fish quite a bit ago, a eel that got out that was still alive i put back in a tank for treatment but never made it, probable down to lack of experience in treatment back then.

the other week at work i had a tiger barb launce itself at me, dropped 6ft onto a hard floor but survived fine. and then when i got into work the other morning there was a goldfish on the floor in the quarantine room, still alive.

Hillstream loach are the worst jumpers out of all the fish we have. I'd had 2 jump, one onto the aquarium brace, and one that jumped out of a bowl he was in while I was cleaning him.

Both survived.

Twice goldfish we had jumped
I was a kid- one of them was a comet that slaughtered my baby pearlscale then committed Suicide.
The other was my common goldfish who was found dried up on the kitchen floor, my dad threw him back in the tank while he made breakfast and he somehow came 'back to life' and died about a year ago, 8 years after the incident, although he lost sight in one eye.

No tropicals, nice close fitting lid to keep them safe.
