How Much Tank Noise Etc

At present I have Bala's as if you've read my post you'll have been following that they will be getting replaced.

Bala's are skittish are Clichids.

Even though the tank is in the corner and my son is not interested he still is noisy and as he's now a growing lad adult almost he still jumps up and down and makes a din will Chlichids etc be upset by this?


There is also my dopey cat are cats more interested in the black n white stripe?

Oh and another question as I've gone of Discus do they need soft water? 7- 8.5 is in book is that average. what is dh? temp is rathr low 23-27 . Yes sorry from a book again but not all books are correct. How mature has the tank got to be ?

The cichlids will be upset when your child bangs on the floor or whatever but once he stops they will come out of hiding.They will be much less scared then balas.

Cichlids are brave and strong. Bala's are scared and strong. They grow large but scare too easily. They NEED to be in 3 or more. They'd prefer to be in groups of 6 or more.

Discus need soft acidic 6.7-7.4 water. Temp 30-33 Celsies. That may be 86 farhen? They are difficult fish for the bigginer. You sure your ready to take on RO systems, water changes 1-2 times a week, expensive bills, CO2 for planted aquaria. But the result is flawless.

Is this for Discus not the frontosia as water is hardish or am I totally confused as the it the magnesium and the other thats hard ?

Tank bred discus that hatched in a high pH can stand it much more easily than discus that were hatched in 6.8 then moved to 7.6.
