How Much Sand Do I Need?

I'm awaiting my new tank which is w80cm x d46cm.

I've ordered 2 bags of Tahitian Moon Sand which equals 40lbs in total. How the hell do I figure out how much sand I require when it's sold in weight???

I've tried to search but I'm on holiday in the middle of a Welsh mountain and there's no phone signal within 2 miles and the so called wifi is down a lot more than it's up so searching for stuff is a nightmare!

Oh, and I'm only wanting 1 to 1 1/2 inch thickness.
