How Many People To Lift A 6 By 2 By 2

Hi, does anyone know how many people I would need to lift a 6 by 2 by 2 with 10mm glass?


also, anyone know of any glass merchants in yorkshire?

2 will lift it using suction clamps, which can be hired from most tool-hire shops.

I agree 4 people easy... Two people carried my 75 gallon 3 foot tank with ease....four should be fine... of course the tank will need to be empty

6x2x2 is easilt two person territory regardless of suckers (unless you are some kind of weakling).

Going upstairs you will want about 4 people on a 6x2x2, though two of these do not need to be overly strong.

I suspect that the OP is in fact perfectly capable of using Google, and was looking for an actual personal recommendation from somebody with a good experience of using a particular firm.

i pushed a 4x2 400Lb downdraft table up the stairs at work by myself. people at the top guided, and my back did the work.

of course that is an all metal device, and not really related to this topic

as andy said, 2 people with no problem.

I lifted one with a fellow work mate at work on a delivery and the tank had a double base.

not as easy as saying to people can do it im afraid non of us are aware what access to his house is like it might be tight as hell and aa good trek from where the car/van will have to be parked much like where i live. regardless of that 2 ppl myself and the delivery guy moved my tank although i hurt for 3 days afterwards we had to carry it about 100 metres then after that lift it high enough to carry it over the kitchen units.

id recommend getting some helpful friends round when its brought to u

It only took me, the mrs and my parents (both just shy of 60) less than an hour to get a 6x2x2 from the bottom of the stairs up 2 floors. And this is in stairs that are not even 30" wide and it featured 4 turns.

Most people aren't going to be taking a 6x2x2 upstairs, so 2 people will be fine. It only took 4 of us to move CFC's 200 gallon tank and he was up a flight of stairs. I would imagine that if there were any problematic areas the OP would have mentioned it in the first post.

yeah, it's not hard tbh, a couple of tight turns but that's it, and one step only into the house, total distance moved is about 6 metres.
