How Many Fry Do Guppies Generally Have?

Hi everyone,

I was given a small fry by the LFS I shop at and she's about three weeks old (possibly). She has a gravid spot and I would like to breed her one time before moving her to another tank. Generally, how many fry are born from a guppy?

A first drop is quite variable. Once they have matured, they often have 20 to 30 fry but that first one could be as few as 10 fry.

mine only ever seem to drop 5 tops

Hopefully mine only has a couple since she's not "mature." If I only have a few, I'll keep the males and put them in my 10-gallon. A LFS by me said they'd take the remaining fry so I'm set on that.
