Commentary on Water Quality:
The exceedance of the PCV for coliforms was not confirmed in check samples taken from the treatment works (alternative
sampling point), service reservoirs fed by the treatment works and customer properties directly fed by the treatment works.
Some of the check samples taken from the original treated water sample point did, however, contain the same coliform
organisms as the original sample. Investigations have identified the sample line as the cause of the exceedance and a new
sample line has been installed. Relevant EHOs and CCDCs have been informed.
