hello ppls ive had tropical fish b4 but we recently got a 21 gallon tank or 90 litres approx and am not sure how many fish can go in it? :)

that really depends on what fish u want, its generally (or as i have read) 2 litres to every cm of fish

well i got a list of wat ive been looking at; 2 angels 2 blue rams a silver doller a siamese fighter 2 sharks and a plec, according the local fish shop these wont eat each lol but my bf wants a oscar. :)

Erm, tbh, none of them can go in that tank, apart from the Siamese fighting fish and pleco (Bristle nose/bulldog) not common.
Edit: i will elaborate...

1 angle fish, but this will show aggression to the betta, common plecos grow to 24".

For a stocking like that you need a HUGE tank! Silver dollars, sharks, most plecs and oscars all get huge (compared to the size of your tank), the angels might get too tall for the tank (depending on how high it is), and siamese fighters are a bit hit and miss - some people keep them fine in community tanks, some people find they just can't live with any other tankmates at all!

Sorry, that sounds like you're totally getting shot out of the water, but the issue isn't really to do with whether or not they will eat each other, as whether they would actually live happy healthy lives without become stunted and dying young. If you go to the species index section you can read up on different kinds of fish and work out what would fit in the tank. Generally the rule is 1 inch of fully grown fish body (ie, ignore fins) to 1 US gallon of water.

What are your tanks dimentions? Although there may be issues with the fish you want, there are similar alternatives that we could look into together.

Kind regards

Jimi

In a 24" x 15" x 20" (l x d x h) at roughly 90l from your original list...

2 angels - Nope, only room for 1

2 blue rams - It depends on the other fish you wanted to keep as these need to be kept at 28C minimum. So probably a no to them as you said you really want variety

A silver dollar - Obviously not, due to the size it can grow!

A siamese fighter - As previously mentioned they're a bit hit and miss for a community, best to steer well clear

2 sharks - 55gal each I'm afraid, and as it's a tall tank that means the footprint is even smaller that in your 'average tank'

A plec - Pitbull Pleco is an option, Personally I would say it's a bit tight to have a bristlenose but if you look on Here - 30plecos 8" and under, anything below 4" and that you can provide the correct diet and environment for should be fine.

My recommendation...
1 x Angelfish (though I personally wouldn't put one in there, it could probably be done)
6 x Serpae or Red Phantom or Pristella Tetra
6 x Kuhli Loach or 4 x Dwarf Chain loach
^^ This would practically give you a fully stocked tank.

Alternatives to the Angelfish could be a single paradise fish, or a single dwarf gourami, or a pair of honey gouramis.
