Hi,
Im fairly new to fish keeping. I currently have 2 baby platies, they're now about 4 weeks old (saved them at a couple days old from being eaten by the other fish at work).
I'm looking at getting a 64L tank and adding in some guppies with my current two platies, maybe getting some sort of bottom feeder like a bristlenose catfish too.
How many fish could I have in a 64L tank? And would a bristlenose catfish be okay with platies and guppies?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

Welcome to TFF.

I know the 64 liter (15 gallon) tank seems spacious, especially with just two platy fry, but it is a very small space for most any fish, including the platies when they mature. When adult size, which if they are healthy and well fed and develop properly will be a very few months, they will basically fill the tank. I would not add any pleco here, they have a significant impact on the biological system. If you have two males, you will not have more fry, but if they are male/female you will have more fry than you can handle after several months.

Byron.
