Hi everyone,
I just recently purchased 3 dalmation mollys and 2 angel fish. They are currently in a 10 gallon tank and from what I read the 1 inch per 1 gallon rule is pretty much the saying. My question is this is not a problem at all right now since they probably total to be around 5 inches. Angel fish I read can get as big as 6 inches and dalmations as big as 3. That equates to around 20 gallons of maximum tank size. Am I correct by assuming that I will eventually need to upgrade my tank. If so how long do you think?
Thanks for all you help
Mark

yep ur rite they will need an upgade , also wot are the dimentions of ur tank? angels need at least 18 inch high tank 2 be honest 10 gallon is no where near big enough for 2 angels on there own never mind any other tank m8s with them :)

really the minimum tank size for angels is a 20 gallon tall tank. as mentioned above the tank needs to be a minimum of 18" high and 30 gallons+ would be a nice size for them.

again with the mollies, i've seen them as big as 5" and they will be a touch crowded in a 10gallon tank.

really with upgrading the sooner you can do it the better, stunting and overcrowding problems can occur much earlier than you think and the health problems will continue even after the tanks been upgraded if you leave it too late. So it's really best to get a bigger tank as soon as you possibly can rather than waiting until you think they need it.
