Its quickly starting to run my life. Its a good hobby for me and my other half (VampirePlec) to do together. Keeps us entertained

i doubt if we'll ever give up completely (although we've considered it) however i'm pretty sure there will be some scaling down of tanks at some point, like when we have kids.

I work a 70 hour week, have 3 kid's who constantly want to be enterttained :) & 2 dog's who constantly want walkies  and still have time for it. Give it up? Never
I know i'm a hero :p

PS The other half does help a little

I have often thought about this.

I guess the easiest answer is when I can no longer maintain my 260 litre tank. However, I will probably downsize then, rather than quitting completely.

It's difficult to imagine life without my fishy friends!

Never want to quit, but if i ever make it to 60 years old or more i would probably opt for some easier to maintain tanks so the water changes aren't so hard on the joints lol.

There will most likely be a point when i dont have any tanks set up for a while, we want to be able to travel a bit when our son leaves home and we've paid off the mortgage so the fish will have to go as its unlikely that i could find anyone to care for as many tanks and fish as i have, but thats another 10 years away at least.

When i retire i will have to downscale to just one or two tanks as we will have to sell the house and buy something smaller to release the capital in the house and cut the bills down for when we are on pensions, luckily that wont be for at least another 30 years hopefully.
