Oops i read it wrong! i thought it said in months! I can sell my guppies to a store at around 7-8 months old. They're not full adults because stores want them slightly young, but thats when they buy them from me. Add about 3 more months for mine to become their full adult size.

It also depends on the species....It is possible to have up to 4 generations of guppies in 12 months!

Well I have a mixed fry tank. I have 2 dalmation molly fry that were born in november and are only 1 1/4 inches long, 5 Blue Platys born in January that are about half a inch long or so....and some guppy babies born in Febuary that are about the same size. It just seems odd that they seem to be taking so long. I feed them 2x a day and the temp is about 78 degrees farenheit. They are in a 10g they have all to themselves except for some ramshorn snail babies, 2 adult snails and 2 corydora catfish. -_-

Fry need big tanks to grow quickly...yours are doing ok considering the cories are taking up space too!

My guppies were born the end of January and are about 1-1/4" long while the platties born about the same time are only about 1" long. The platties have a larger body than the guppies. I have swordtails born within a week of them and they are slightly smaller than the platties. They are in a 55 gallon U.S. tank (about 20 or so fry total) with 5 adult platties, two adult swordtails and one adult female guppy. It sounds like your fry are doing OK.

How often do you do water changes? I keep my swordtail fry in 10 gallon tanks and try to do daily or every other day water changes. They seem to grow faster when I change the water more frequently. A varied diet of flake, frozen bloodworms and fresh hatched baby brine shrimp makes a significant difference in growth rate as well.
