How Long Have You Been Learning About Fish.

I've been learning about fish in some way or another all my thinking life, from the age where you start to develop interests and hobbies (7 or 8 ) fish have always been my obsession, starting with angling and in the last 8-9 years the tropical fish hobby.

Almost 30 with a 15 year with out fish around 1990 started 1976and now i am back things have change a lot since aquarium technology runs fast

I started with goldfish when I was about 8, so 7 years. Through I only started with tropical fish 4 years ago, and that's when I started suffering from MTS .

Got my first tank over 30 years ago, but had a long break; the real learning has been since I joined this forum two years ago.

I've been keeping fish for over 18 years, very steadily. The only time I didn't have tanks was when I was in the process of moving to Miami, FL from Washington state in 1992/93 and my family and I were living in an apartment, and actively looking for a house. In Washington, I kept mostly communities and casually raised livebearers and cryptocorynes. In Miami, I started out by raising kribs and again, very simple plants. I then moved on to cardinal tetras for about a year, and then moved on to goldfish for about 5 years. Now, I'm into planted aquariums and will probably keep with that aspect for a while, since it appeals to me as a gardener.

llj :)

EDIT: You never stop learning in this hobby.

30 years and still learn something every day.

The neverending learning is as much as an obsession as the fish are.
