How long have you been keeping fish.

Hmmm...had my first tank at 11 (mollies and guppies) and then goldfish when I was 18. Totally lost touch with fishkeeping for 24 years!! Started up again at 42 (after the kids were all grown) and now I'm totally addicted!! My oldest daughter gave me her 20 gallon setup last year and I've been hooked ever since (and now a total of 4 tanks later...)

And many thanks to this forum! I remember doing a Google search in despair because the newly setup 20 gallon was not doing so well. Thanks to all of the great information available here, I was able to get it right!

almost 8 years. ive learned more from this forum in 2 days than those 6 years without this forum. then again, i didnt have fish for about 5 years, and i was only 7 back then

we had fish off an on when i was younger but i just started with my own tank 4 or 5 months ago. now i cant get enough.

My tank recently celebrated it's one year anniversary!! Had a few causualties along the way but overall I've loved every minute of it! (have even grown accustomed to my friends, family and coworkers thinking i'm the fish-geek )

working on my second year of fishkeeping... started with two walmart guppies and my otocinclus. they couldn't stop me from getting my common plec; little did i know what providing for him would lead to

we had fish when i was a kid, but that wasn't fishkeeping so much as fishlosing (the internet is a beautiful, beautiful thing.)

on the subject of this forum, i learnt more here than when i was at school which is pretty bad, the nitrogen cycle etc...

always been interested in our ponds we have. kind of took them over doing more towards them 2 years back.

but i only started tropicals in July so 10 months. and tanks/size of tanks quickly multipied.

I had goldfish since the age of two, took over their care from mum age 7 (but her money ). When I moved out, age 18 I took the fish with me and got them a bigger tank. I got my first tropical tank last August (for my 19th birthday) I told everyone I wanted a tropical tank and they all got me things for it. I was working in my LFS at the time so quickly got more and more obsessed... bought a bigger tank with better filtration etc within two months of getting the first, got another tank... and another...

I've been keeping fish for about 5yrs but that's when i go into it it was a beta splender that i got first.

I had a common gold fish when i was a kid wich i caught myself from a streem poor thing parents put it in a milk bottle Well i know better now!
