How do you treat fish with ich? All the medicines I see treat the tank but not the fish. Are ther any medicines that actual help the fish?

Treating the tank DOES treat the fish

THe ich falls off the fish to multiply and the medicine kills it before it can reinfect the fish.

Turn you heat to 84 degrees and follow the instructions on the medicine EXACTLY. No exceptions. THen treat for 3-4 days after the last spots are seen.

Once ich is in the tank, the likelihood is that it has passed to the other fish even if you can't see it yet. If you took each fish out to treat them you'd have a neverending cycle, so you need to treat the whole tank at once. Turning the heat up to 30 and adding aquarium salt (if you don't have catfish or loaches) can help to kill it.
