i tried the vaseline. looks decent, a few areas that arent so great but overall im satisfied. the corners just wouldnt stay down, so my tank is rockin the vaseline and tape combo. no way that sucker is coming off.

I've heard that using silicone glue and putting the backing inside the tank looks good, any comments?

I just got rid of my old backing and put a new one on with vegetable oil after reading this....it looks great!

use a DVD case to get the air bubbles out its the only thing that ive found that works.

If you vaseline the back of the tank, is it easy to get off again say if you sell or store the tank away ?

Same here sam just spent about half an hour getting all the bubbles out, looks even better now though. Mine's only a small tank (2ft) prob take you a bit longer.
