How Do I Sterilize A Tank

i have a tank with a disease and i cannot cure the problem!

what is the best way to sterilize a tank? i have taken all the fish out into a hospital tank. they have had the wasting disease for over 3 months now and i cannot kill the problem.

Sorry I can't help you in any way, but I am interested to know the answer to this also.

Hot water and a new cloth and toothbrush is what i do.

Some people do blitz there tanks though.

How to blitz your tank:

Use a solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water and give the tank a good rub down
Rinse repeatedly untill the smell of bleach is gone
Fill the tank with heavily de-chlorinated water, at least x5 the reccomended amount of de-chlorinator
Leave to stand overnight
Empty the tank and give it one last rinse


That should irradicate any and all diseases from a tank but most people do just use hot water and maybe a little salt.
