hi i have a ph of around 8.0 but have been told that it should be 7.5 how do i lower it???
i have two 55 litre tanks both community tanks with the same ph readings and both have 0 readings for nitrite nitrate and ammonia

who told you that it needs to be 7.5?

an 8 pH is a little on the high side, but that should not cause you any real issues unless you are keeping fish that are known to be sensitve to higher pH water. In most cases, a stable pH is much more important than the 'correct' one that fish are found in in the wild.

What fish do you currently have in the tank?

i have some mollies guppys swordtails corys tetra and couple of angels between my two tanks

nothing in there screams sesnitivity to an 8pH to me......maybe some of the tetra, depending on what they are.

I keep angels quite happily in a 7.8 - 8.0 tank.

Over the years I have kept cardinals, neons, angels, cory's and various mollies and my water has always been around PH 8. It has only recently come down since introducing CO2 so I wouldn't worry about it.
