how do i know when i've rinsed the betta tank enough? i soaked it for about 20 mins in bleach water (1:19) and have rinsed it about two dozen times... it's now sitting outside in the sun.

is this enough? or should i rinse it more?

(she had dropsy and i'd like to put another betta in there, but i'm paranoid- hence the cleaning :) )

Here is an older thread that I found useful when cleaning a tank in the past. The 5th post has info on how to use bleach and get it rinsed out. This member (happens to be my son) had also lost a betta to dropsy.

That should be plenty of rinsing, it's about five times as much as I do when cleaning a tank. I rinse 3 or 4 times, then use triple the amount of dechlorinator when filling. I've done this with everything from 2.5 gallons to 55 gallons, along with nets, cups, and other related aquatics equipment.
