How Do I Increase The Chances Of Me Getting Hair Algae?

i quite liked the naural lok of hair algae in my tank and was wondering...how can i make it grow back? it may sound lke a pritty dumb idea but my crayfish and 2 red crabs love to eat it thanks in advance summat fishy

Yeah, every summer my tanks covered in the stuff, but in winter my plants keep it at bay, due to the dull weather and shorter days.
