Hello

I have a 52' wide x 14' deep x 14' heigh tank, that holds 150 litres (just over 40 Gallons).

It's heavily planted in two large areas, with lots of PVC tubes, and mixed substrate of sand and pebbles.

I have a pair of kribensis (one male and one female) and 8 rummy nose tetra. I've been researching other compatible cichlids to keep with my Kribensis and a few people have mentioned a pair of Keyholes, which i quite like the idea of.

Just wondering what you guys think.

Cheers
Roland

I would have thought that it would depend upon the personality of your existing Kribs. If they are placid, then it is probibly possible, if you re-arrange the tank just before letting out the keyholes :good: If the Kribs are aggressive, then, don't try it, as they may well pick on the keyholes.

I am not 100% cirtain here, as this would depend on may factors, so mebe a good idea to get a second opinion first :good:

All the best

I currently have a pair of keyholes in with an aggressive female krib, She will tolerate the keyholes fine but WW3 occurs if i attempt to introduce another kribensis. The keyholes also tend to live in the upper and middle levels of my tank whilst the krib stays close to the bottom.

I would say that if they aren't already overly chasing you rummynose that there will be no reason why they would chase a bigger fish like the keyholes

Cheers for the opinions guys, i'll give the rummynose a few weeks to settle in before i think about adding anything else anyway - so i'll see how they fare.
