hey all this is rob again right we have four females im sure are at different stages of pregnancy the two i think are furthest along are a yellow black spotted tailed female who has a very blace gravis spot near her under back side the other is little blue with a clearish body and a darkish blue tail who is getting very aggresive chasing other fish out of the way when theres food put in the tank and seems to be swimming into the plants and hiding.

any help given would be lovely.

thanks rob.

If you have 4 females in there, and there is at least 1 male present (within the last 90 days), believe me, they are all pregnant... Guppy females deliver between 15 and 35 fry every (plus/minus) 26/30 days - depending on temperature and they will deliver up to 4/6 times after 1 impregnation by the male. The gravid spot is an indication of the young developing inside of her (mostly the eyes that you see) and if this area is pinkish, it means she has just delivered without you noticing. Body shape is a more secure way of telling when she is ready to deliver.

eep trying to get pics of them but the results are blurry without a flash and with far to bright

also what do we do about little blues agression?

I do not believe that this is a permanent aggression..... (not in their nature) Normally, removing the aggressor for a week or so and then putting him/her back with a slight scenario change cures them....

hi, i've had guppies a while now and had quite a few have fry it is right when they say that if you look at the fish its belly looks almost square in shape. It will also have alot of attension from the male guppies and be very quite, keeping low to the bottom of the tank. It took me a year to work out when my guppies were about to give berth, good luck :good:
