Hey well I bought 2 from pets at home on Sunday, and I was wondering how to sex them..

I've heard the colour of the females is a little paler, which i have noticed on one of them.

But I've also seen that on my fish one has a roundish tank and the other has a flat tail, which looks as though its just not using it lol (i think the round tail of one of them might be the guppy in him)

i dont know.. the fins on the bottom are similar but one has a fin that points down

the body shapes are the same, but that might just be because they are young..

can anyone help?

On an endler, there will be no coloring on the female at all. It will be just the stright background color which is slightly yellower than in a guppy. Having said thet, you don't go by color. Try looking at the anal fin, the last one before the tail on the bottom of the fish. On a female it will be trialgular as you can see in this picture of a female platy.

In the male it will be a line rather than a triangle as you can see with this male platy.

Endlers, platies, swords, mollies and guppies along with some of the less common live bearers all have the same features that will help you tell them apart.
