I have a silver molly who was born in around january-march time of this year, but he is only about a cm long. He was in a 5 US gallon tank until 2 months ago when he was moved into my big tank. Surely he sould be bigger than this by now?

i guess you have a longer to take to grow mollies in which you might have a runt but if not just give the little one time.yes in a 5 gallon it should have gotten bigger but what else did you put it with?

That is on the small-side... What type of food are you feeding?

Well, in the small tank he was with first of all his brothers and sisters. Then I sold them and kept him because he was the first one to be born. Then there was a harlequin rasbora and a neon along with 2 shrimps. The shrimps seemed to be eating the tankmates so I moved the molly out into the big tank.

I fed him special baby livebearer food when he was a baby, then I put him onto Nutrafin complete max flakes. He occassionally pecks at the pleco food, and he also has bloodworms about once every 2 weeks.

I thought he should be bigger than that, because when I first started out I was told it would be fine to put 4 mollies and a betta in my 5gallon tank, and they all developed fine. I still have one actually.
