Hi

My two Shark Cats are getting bigger so through a friend I got myself a bargain and invested in a 6x2x2. Just looking for a Stand now (probably going to have one made). All this will be up and running in a month or two. My one problem is how do you move these Shark Cats as they are real jumpy and always on the move. One is nearly 10 inches and the other one is about 6 inches. It is already a pain when I do a water change and you can't approach the Tank to quickly they go mad.

Any Ideas ????

Thanks

When I moved my large piranhas I use the self proclaimed "bag and bucket" method. I assume this will work for your Columbian Sharks as well. Find a bucket or container of some sort just barely large enough to fit the 10 inch shark. Make sure this bucket has a cover or lid. Try to net one shark (You know this will be a challenge) and quickly place it in the water filled bucket, then quickly place the cover on. If you do not have a cover your sharks will jump out. Carefully move the bucket to the new tank, net him out and place him in the new tank. If you feel as though you can not net him out of the bucket, you could place the bucket in the aquarium and slowly open the cover and allow the shark to swim out. Since you are only moving them within the house this method should work OK as they will not be in the bucket long.

Hi AMS

I will let you know if it works. I am only moving from one side of the room to the other side of the room. Still I am not looking forward to it.

Thanks
