Houseplants in Aquarium?

Some unscrupulous lfs do sell houseplants for aquarium use.
A petshop near me, has a large cascade tank filled with "aquarium" plants.

Included are various cacti & succulents, Parlour Palms, Yucca, lawn grass, fatsia, and even carrot tops.. yes! carrot tops!

Way to fill your fishtank with rotting vegitation :/

I have spiderplants with the roots hanging in my tanks with no problems. The plants are thriving from the fish waste and my frog and shrimp love hanging out in the roots. You just have to make sure that the leaves aren't in the water or they will rot.

I used to have three stalks of bamboo in my tank, if you consider that a house plant.
