hey

Iv one of them plastic plants in my tank and its come detached from the base, is it safe to use hot melt glue to repair? will it be ok in the tank?

one of my plants did that when i was washing it in boiling water put i just put it back in a left it to set aagain. so you could try putting the base in boiling water the sticking the plant back in and see if it sets again.

iv not got superglue, but do have hot melt, will it be ok?

Hot melt glue sometimes contains chemicals designed to prevent undesirable biological growth e.g. mold/fungus

Adding on to the thread inchworm directed to. Quite a lot of adhesives are plastics but that doesn't change whether they are safe plastics or not to use in an aquarium. PVC leaches chlorine rapidly for the first 2 weeks of being removed from a packet and then continues but at a much reduced rate e.g. that smell of a new plastic shower curtain/ table cloth ect. is a release of chlorine whilst safe for humans it could kill ADFs which are particularly chlorine sensitive.
