The hornwort looks great . What’s that floating plant ? I really wanted to do one of these stock pond tubs last year but didn’t . Next summer for sure with Paradise Fish .

The stem plant is Bacopa Caroliniana. It floats until its roots reach the floor and it pulls itself down.

The rest is algae: the most important plant for most tanks with livebearers.

It sure is! One of my favorites.

Pickerel frogs can be distinguished from Leopard frogs by their square-ish dorsal spots and the bright yellow wash on the inside of the hind legs. It’s also noteworthy that Pickerel frogs exude fairly toxic skin secretions. Do not eat them.

I was going to remove some of the wood growing underneath and between the plants and algae for another project, but thought better of it. I think I have somewhere between 15 and 25 mosquitofish in here. Can't wait for that number to boom in the summer.

I bet they'll reproduce well in the summer... That's what they did at my place....
