I got a female honey gourami today, I'm not sure why she was at the shop since they haven't had any more deliveries, but anyway, she was the only one. I've got her in a heated 3g for now, I thought that was better than the 20g with big current and lots of boisterous fish. I guess the 3g won't be good long term, so what sort of setup should I look for? And should I attempt to get her some friends (maybe 1m and 1fm extra)?

Are you certain it's a female? And are you sure it is a honey (not a dwarf)?
If yes, another female, at least, would be a good idea. They like to have some company. It's up to you whether you also get a male - or you could get an extra female. A 10 gallon would be just about right for a trio but I'd suggest you plant it somewhat heavily so the females have places to hide when the male's in the mood to spawn and also to make all of them feel comfortable in their surroundings so that they aren't shy.

I'm pretty sure she's female as she's a very dull brown (theres some pics in the pics forum, but you can't really see the colouring much), even at the lfs. I guessed honey becasue dwarfs are normally sold at a larger size than honeys (she's the same sort of size as honeys at Pets at Home) and she looks more like them. Tankwise then, dependign on what else I go for I'll probably end up with her and some friends in the empty 15g with some small peaceful tankmates. Would pygmy cories and some dario dario go OK, you think?

Yep those would be perfect but watch the dario as they can apparently be unpredictable (I've not had the chance to keep them myself though... yet).

honey gouramis are very peacefull and would be good to get 2m and 2 more females because there most active and brighter in colour when there in groups and a 10g with some cories would be a perfect setup
