I have read that Honeys can have digestive troubles and should not be feed live or frozen meaty diets (like blood worms.) Of course the first thing I did was generously give my new Honey blood worms and mysis shrimp. Duh

I have now begun to limit the meaty foods (there are others in the tank who like meat) and switch to high quality flake. In addition I have given separate portions of daphnia in the section the Honey likes to frequent. He has usually got a bit or even a string of excrement hanging. He doesn't seem to be excited about eating. I also put bits of Hikari algae tabs for everyone. I am a bit concerned for him. In the morning I will start putting a bit of pea.

Any helpful comments or related anticdotal stories?

Could it be that he is over fead? I mean, your doing all the right things, but perhaps he doesnt have the drive to eat for he is no longer feeling like it could be his last meal? Try the meaty foods again. An alterbative may be live food, like brine, blood worm or mosquito larvae (skeet).

My Honeys share the food that the rest of them eat, bloodworms, daphnia, brine shrimps, flakes, peas etc etc

No problems with them so far... :dunno:

I have to agree my honey dwarfs will eat just about anything hikari algea tabs, frozen blood worms, frozen brine shrimp, flakes, and my anacharis plants. none of which seemed to have bothered them. (there eating my plants though bothers me).

I got two more honeys and they all seem to be eating good now. :D

Thanks
