Ok, the wife has suggested a new tank.....honest :D ...... to have downstairs.

Well I haven't exactly got an open cheque book so I have to be a little reserved on choice.........

I saw today (new) the Fluval Roma 200 (ltr) / Cabinet / Heater / 304 External Filter plus some freebies for £275! or the 240 with the 305 filter for a bit more.

For the price......outstanding........ but what am I getting?

Anyone got or had one of these?

Great tank. Check what you're getting but I got the tank with lights, external filter, heater and the stand.

you lucky git

Crazy day really.....took her to a LFS with the idea of getting a couple of Tanganyika's knowing that they had a good range of tanks on show. I pointed out what a great deal the Fluval was and she just came out with it......."I've been thinking , maybe you should get a big tank for downstairs"....you flippin what??!! :hyper:

I know it's going to cost me later (probably a Radley or something) but what the hell, I get to have me a new tank.....yehhhhh!

i have a fluval roma 240L and i cant fault it except for the drips i get down the outside.... apparently due to overfilling but i have tried differennt levels and still get the same problem.... might just be mine but its well annoying

i would advise you to go for a juwel 180 instead Kevin, i have the roma 200, and if i knew what i know now i wouldnt touch it.
i have had to have a new cabinet ( tho warranty covered this) due to bowing, the stand looks/behaves( doors etc) cheap compared to my rio`s and vision ( i say compared to but in reality there is no comparison).... and to top it off you could get a lovely 2nd hand juwel for that price and less :)

its obviously only my opinion tho :)

nice to see you by the way x x x x

Would this be from condensation/ill fitting lid or drips from opening/closing?

oh and also i think the 200 still comes with a U4 filter ( mine did 4 months ago)... nightmare!! no where to add floss, is tricky to get to media etc .... basicaly not a patch on the 4 plus, but if it is the 304 then thats a def improvement,

No the 200 comes with the Fluval 205 external. At least mine did at christmas unless they've changed the deal.
