Homemade Tank Decor?

Hii everyone this is my first question as I joined yesterday!
So I was wondering what household items I could use to decorate my tank?
It's only 20 litres but is quite tall... if that helps?
I don't have any aquarium sealant as of yet, but is there any items that I could just boil/clean and put straight in?
Also, is normal silicone ok to use, or is it dangerous for the tank?
Any ideas, crazy or not, would be great!

Normal silicone is ok to use as long as it doesn't contain any anti-fungus in it. I'm unsure of the correct naming of the chemical so please wait for someone else to reply.
It depends on what your wanting to put into your tank. There's a thread on here with someone using lego in their tank. Terracotta pots are used by many on here but I'm not sure what room you would have in a 20ltr

Hi and welcome!!

- I wouldn't use household sealants as it contains toxins which can be deadly to your fish. Aquarium sealant can be found at about £5 for a small tube

- Alot of people use old plant pots, plastic tubing, rocks and wood to decorate their tanks to give you a few ideas.

I'd recommend having a look through the pictures people have uploaded to this site to give you a few ideas

Yeh I read about the lego, an interesting idea actually, I might give it a try
And I'll have to see if I have any small plant pots, but does it not matter what rocks, plastic, or wood I use?
What cleaning method needs to be used on each material?
By stocking plans do you mean fish or decorations? (sorry, new to this!)
I have a fake plastic jungle sort of plant but doesnt really create a 'shelter' for my neons, and I have a tall cave ornament which I like, but my tank still looks empty and neons don't like open spaces too much?
So just something to 'fill out' the tank I guess
