Im going on holiday next wednesday for 9 days what do i have to do to prepare??? Do they need feeding what about the fry???

as for your fry, 9 days is TOO long for them not to be fed.

larger more robust cichlids should be fine, lil thin when you get back but can survive.

you need a pal to come in and feed for you, thats the answer

i have to leave my tropical tank quite often all i do is a 25% water change and stick my automatic feeder on with new batteries so far no problems last time i was away for 16 days

9 days is nothing for adult cichlids to go without food, but as mentioned the fry will doubtfully last so long. The way I see it, cichlid fry are easily replaced and I wouldn't worry much about it, but this is your call of course.

Well i got cats being fed so i might ask my nan to feed them whats the least amount can they be fed so my nan has to walk up 2 flights of stairs. Will they live if fed every 3 days. As my cichlids tank is not yet all adult i will get her to feed them aswell.

What kind of auto feeder have you got, Ive been looking into a reliable one which will last at least 14 days?
