Holiday Food Blocks

Hi all,

I'm not a fan at all of the old plaster of paris holiday food blocks but spotted the new Tetramin 14 day version in a lfs the other day and it looked like a much better product. Has anyone had any experience using them?

I have not experienced using them but over all they make me very nervous - - I have heard numerous reports of such feeders fouling the water and without anyone around to notice and change the water the fish become ill and sometimes die...

how long are you going away for? fish are quite resilient when it comes to living with out food....
any chance you could have a trusted friend or neighbor stop by once a week or once every 5 days and sprinkle a bit of food in? to prevent over feeding you can potion out food in plastic baggies and just instruct them to pour only whats in the baggie in for a feeding
