I cant figure out what to do with my fish. They seem so bored and unhappy. Specially Carmel who is in the smallest fish bowl. What can I do to entertain them?

Have you tried a mirror? Seeing their reflection makes them think they're seeing another betta - they'll flare for hours - which is good exercise. I don't recommend leaving the mirror against the tank all day - but for a couple of hours or a bit longer - will relieve some of the boredom. And without crowding the tank - plants (artificial or real) - they love to swim through, under and over them... I think it breaks the monotony a bit.

You could try giving them bigger tanks... plants, hidey holes, mirrors, etc.

When there in the five gallon they are very happy so thats why I switch them every week.lol

mine seem to like objects. and for one of mine i put the bottom of a coke bottle cut off upside down and he seems to have great fun with it al day.

male male goes to no tank without his live plant. He likes to weave through it and its so funny

i've heard if you put marbles in the bottom they'll chase them around. shadow would push his around with his nose until it hit the gravel wrong and rolled back at him then he lost interest. i've also heard if you put safe (untreated) wooden beads on top of the water, they'll push those around, too.

I have marbles at the bottom of there tanks.lol But they ignore them all.

you could redecorate all the tanks.Chnage some of there ornaments plants over etc.

mine are fed up with ping pong balls now...but I swap ornaments around and weed and move the tanks as well which is why I cant remember their names
