Hmm...

firstly you'll want to get something that can at least serve as a hood, bettas do jump, though I've noticed that the females tend to jump more then the males, its still a good idea to have some kind of cover.

ill temporarily use plastic wrap with holes punched...i will be making my own wooden lid eventually from scratch(hey if im going to make a remote controled catapult used to egg peoples houses from wood and metal, i might as well make an aquarium hood while im at it, but ill get a temporary piece of wood to start off with my plans are simple it will look like this:
____l Lighting goes here l ______
_l Hinges and holes to get cables & wires out l_
l This is to help keep hood in place l
So thats my plan should be simple enought cut out 3 Frames and a lid over top it all.

big problem has just arrised...
I cant get the tank home!
Well with ease that is im going to haveo t lug a 10 gallon glass aquarium around
and no im not goign tobuy an air pump at petsmart (Wowow its $20 for cheapest airpump), so im going to have to build that aquarium step by step
Tommorow its just the tank itself as well.
Then On friday i head to the closest lfs( Pj's Petsmart) and buy hte pump filter and heater there(lot more price frienly for that)
Also could soeone give me considerations for decorations?
Oh and my bettas becoming for friendly he knows when i lift the plastic wrap(with a hole thru it) its feeding time and he automattically waits for me to drop the pellets which he ravages, unlike when i 1st got him, looking so pale, just hink how happy he'll be when he has a 10 gal all to himself!

i stressed my betta(hes all pale and scared again) alot during hte transfer
right now hes in approx 4 gals of water... im lacking substrate at the moment, at max ill fill my tank to only 8 galls
as i am lacking a hood for the tank
Oh well i hope he warms up to his new 10 gal tank also
theres a ghost shrimp hiding in there lol.
