Hey there! I recently purchased a heavily pregnant female snakeskin form my LFS. She has been acclimatised and is swimming around enjoying the free space of the tank. (they were really cramped there.) The deal is that she is very heavily pregnant, and her gravid spot is huge and goes all the way round, for example, if this it the view from the back it would be : (<->) (the dash in the middle is her tail. ) I have spare 5 gallon but it is bare with pea gravel. I also have a breeder trap. The main tank has java moss, caves, and Elodea. there are 4 rosy tetras, 7 neon tetras, 1 male guppy, 1 female guppy, 4 kibs and her. I want to keep the fry, what do you think i should do?

Just put her in the 5 gal tank with loads java moss.

She will eat a few fry but never to many and just feed on crushed flake and you be fine.

Ok! Thanks for the advice! I have decided that i will put her in their in the morning, so she can calm down after a stressful day :)

If you put a holiday feeder block in the breeding tank it makes her less likely to eat the fry as well. Just use a small one and chuck it in the main tank when you take her out so it doesn't rot the water for the fry.

:- That's great news wacky. Now it's time to move her back with the other fish and let the fry grow up without any predators around them.
