Hmm What To Add, What To Add

so i have a 30 gallon long with 2 opaline gouramies, 4 tiger barbs, 5 serpae tetras, 3 striped barbs and 1 clown pleco. I'd really like to add something interesting but obviously it has to be compatible with what i've got. I was suggested by the marine biologist at my lfs to add apistogrammas or kribs. How about a firemouth? Would it be a problem that i dont really have rock work? It is lightly planted as of now and sometime in the future would like to add some more decor like rocks and stuff. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

i would go for the kribs myself but firemouth may need a little rockwork but also kribs need a good couple of caves this could be anything from a plantpot to a hollow brick

thanks for the feedback. i was thinking kribs myself and ill probably end up re-aquascaping the tank before i get them anyway.

i was more thinking featherfin catfish
but 30 gal maby to small you could try 3 syno multis
