Hiya, well im new to both tropical fish keeping and this forum..
I have had the tank up and running a few weeks now and the tank is cycling nicely (so my bfs brother says)
Got a few fish in so far started off with danios and then added some blue platys the most recent additions through are 2 honey dwarf gourami (excuse the spelling its not my strong point) some otocinclus and a plec (not to sure on the L number). Sadly the female dwarf gourami died 2 days after i put it in the tank which on thursday, i dont think it was well
Decided to join a forum to get help and advice off others and hopefully learn more about this as at the moment i really am a 'newbie'

and hello. Sorry to hear about your gourami. 
If I am right in assuming that you have just a male left then try getting him 2 females next time. Apparantly 1 male to 2 females is the best formula. Sylvia seems to be our resident expert on gouramis, look in the gourami forum.
