Hikari Alge Wafers

I have pure algae wafers and all of my fish except for neons love them.

It seems good, I'm taking my Corydoras off the pellets and just giving broken up Hikari Algae Wafers for a while to see if there's any difference. I might consider getting a proper pack for some variety.

while cories will definitely enjoy an algae treat, they still need a diet that is primarily carnivorous. so don't take them off of pellets completely.

Ah, okay I wanted to see if they made any change at all. Though I'm not sure the algae wafers are entirely vegetarian, they have fish and shrimp mix in them.


By the way out of curiosity, I put in two broken up pieces of Algae Wafers in my tank to see if while the Cory's ate one the Tetras did eat the other one, but the Tetras floated around the Cory's and ate any little bits that came off as the Cory's and went their way. So I guess they don't all eat it. Hope the Snails don't though, they may get a taste for fish from it.

Our Cories, Loaches and all of the tetras love them. Hell, even our ADF has munched on them before

I put half of a wafer (in two pieces) into our 29 gallon every morning and it's gone withing the hour

Haha, I put a wafer in and my two bala's destroy it in less than 10 min I have to make sure they are watching that to put one in that my pleco can get to. If they notice that one they will go for it and pick it up and carry it away....haha
