Hi my name is Gav and im from Kent ive just joined the forum to see what i can learn regarding keeping other tropical fish.
I say other as I have kept Malawi Cichlids for some time and currently have a main display tank and 12 species tanks for breeding various species in my garage/fishroom.
The reason I joined a general forum is my new obsession in the form of L numbers! so want to find out as much as i can about these and what make suitable tank mates.
I got an LDA33 snowball in a swap for some fry and am currently sitting at home waiting for a group of chocolate zebra plec to arrive! so any plec keepers opinions on keeping the guys will be appreaciated! any ways I post some photos of my tanks soon ans start asking tons of Qs

I am a fan of cichlids in general, think they are beautiful fish with lovely personalities.

Where abouts in kent are you? I'm in the strood area. Always good to know incase I setup a malawi tank

my chocolate zebras turned up all safe and well but havnt seen them since they went into the tank as they are tiny 1" and the tank is a 3 x 2 x 2

Have you had a look at the loricariids section yet (a subsection of catfish)? It is devoted to people interested, as you seem to be, to L numbers and similar fish.

I have a big interest in L Nos myself. The plec section which is a subsection of the catfish section has a fair few posts on plecs, take a look
