Hi, Does Anyone Know What Kind Of Tropical Fish This Is?

I'm a new member here

I saw the fish below in an aquarium, and I was hoping to introduce it to my community tank at home.

Reason, why i did not buy a few, was due to me being worried about how aggressive they are. I have a few neons, Mollys and loaches in the tank.

Anyone know what type it is?

Hi, the tank is 60 litres at the present moment, and we have around 15 fish altogether in the tank. All are young, none are mature.

The lady whom I was talking to at the pet shop (she was no expert - she admitted herself) said it was dangerous to introduce a ram as they would go for the neons/smaller fish.

i think a ram is too big for a 60l.

When you say 15 fish what kind of fish? And how many of each fish. Rams are cichlids and will be more territorial than things like tetras but they wont kill them .

They won't go after neons.

Meh. I bet you could squeze one into a tank that size. There are other dwarfs that would fit better, though.

^^Yeah, i agree, 60l wouldbe a minimum. They're a good little Cichlid, i'd just stick with the one though!

I think a ram is OK in a 60 litre BUT you are probably already fully stocked unless you only have fish will grow to 1 inch . . . and you have neons, so you do have some larger fish.

Rams are relatively peaceful but with as much stock as you have, he might not be able to establish a terriatory and may get stressed or aggressive.

What fish do you have at the moment?
