Hi,
Just joined after 2 weeks of browsing the forums, used to have fish a while back but finally got a tank for my 30th birthday 4 weeks ago. Crikey things have moved on since i had Guppies in my small tank in my room at 9 years old.
Anyways ive got 3 quite large (bout and inch) ramshorn snails getting on great with my clown loaches! is this normal?? i hear not? still SNAILS ARE VERMIN IN THE FISH WORLD!
secondly ive seen a lovely ghost knife fish (bout 3 cm) in a local shop which i would love to home in my 70L tank, is this a definate NONO or just a slap on ythe wrist if i do??? i do have a good freind who could home him if he got too big.
although from experience ive found that only frequent water changes encourage growth in species such as these? kept in a small tank such as mine growth CAN be restricted with no detriment to the fish.
Whaddya reckon guys let me know if im harming my babies!!
Regards
Simon
