Hexagonal Tank - Light Problems

Hi all,
First posting so here goes

I've had my hexagonal "fish R fun" tank for about a year now and the light has failed. I've replaced the bulb but still no joy. I did get a couple of flickers then nothing. The pump is on the same power supply so i know thats ok.

Any suggestions would be a great help, It looks a bit sad in the dark!!!
