Just looked more closely at Pic> it looks like you have some broad-leaved plants at back of tank (not sure if Amazon Swords)?

In my experince, the plants last longer in Gravel rather than Sand. + 'Java Ferns / 'Umbrella Ferns' are hardy, long-lasting plants.

Live plants are far better for tank and Fish than plastic, however u may need to take out dead leaves now and again.

some do some dont mine doesnt buy from anyone unless you are a regular and they know you take good care of your fish then 9 times out of 10 they will offer you store credit, it really depends on the shop. but its not about the money if you brought 2 fish for £10 knowing that you couldnt sutiably home them then its your own fault and would be cruel not to re home them £10 or not (not saying you did i mean as an example). but if you was sold them without being givin the propper info on how they NEED to be kept and how big they can get (peng's and common plec's spring to mind) then yes i would demand a refund or store credit at the least.

Concur with 5teveO;

You should explain your lack of space and ask for an exchange> unless of course, you become attached to those Angels and decide to go and get a bigger tank for them......?
(If you get more interested in fishkeeping, you'll end up needing a bigger set-up in a few months / a year anyway)

Dilema; Offload Angels, or invest in a bigger set-up???

check online if you have a local freecycle group (yahoo groups), you can get tanks of most sizes for free.

Like I said, they look pretty stunted... It is a shame this world runs on money....
