I have been offered a breeding pair of Rainbow Cichlids, and I'm wondering which type of Tetra they are suitable to keep with. I assume wide-bodied, fast-moving Tetras, like Red Eye and Lemon would all do fine. I'm just wondering if Cardinals or Rummynoses would be OK. I expect they would but thought I better check before it's too late!

Most Tetra's will be fine. Rainbow Cichlids are usually scared of their own shaddow so will pay little to no attention to any shoaler.

You should be ok, they are normally a very peaceful cichlid

I wouldnt trust them with smaller Tetras, my last one was very aggressive
