First post in a long time!

How are things here now, new GUI looks nice. adverts??, adverts!?!

Anyway..................................................

Got myself a nice little 90L 24" tank for a nano reef project. Need something as I have had a break for some time. Wanted to get my hands wet again and thought this would be a good way to start. It won't be anything like the last 3 tanks (he says).

Back soon

Welcome back. Ads go away once you log in.

In my experience the best filtration for a reef is the Berlin Method with a skimmer and some chaetomorpha algae in the sump. If you don't have a sump you can use halimeda algae in the display.

That's the only filtration I have on my 210 gallon reef.

MMmmm.... my pictures have been moved and so the links are lost, sorry but I cannot find how to edit my post in this new GUI.

So progress on the skimmer, Reef Octo or Bubble Magus means that I will end up sumping this bad boy and not having the HOB skimmer and this will be unsightly.

So before any more progress is made I will have to strengthen the stand and remove the centre brace to allow a sump.

Then pipework can be ordered and then the sump and skimmer.

A sump is a great addition to any marine tank and Reef Octopus makes a great in-sump skimmer (I know because it's what's currently skimming my 210gallon).
