wow thats lovely, we saw them on the order list at the fish shop i work at and was tempted to get 1 or 2 in but realised we would be hard pushed to sell it and keep it alive for a long time.

How much did you pay for it?

well as i know the bloke at my lfs he ordered that one n for at £50 and i think she is stunning, only had her in the tank for a day now but seems to have settled really well starting to feed now.

Well done in getting her to feed after only one day, They're notoriously hard to get feeding after bringing home.

Watch those water parameters! The slightest change and she'll die on you.

Beautiful, Beautiful fish.

thanks sirminion yeah i got my eye closley on that water but yeah she is doing really well took abit of time with some gamma fish pieces but eventually she took it.

wow really paul well i obviously had a good deal was it motoro stingray on ur list if so then he has done me a real big favour.

Nice ray.

May i suggest removing some of the sand, keeping a deep sand bed with rays is dangerous business, deep sand can encourage anerobic conditions which will kill your ray. Almost all experienced ray keepers recomend a sand depth of 1/2 a inch or a bare tank bottom tank.

The price of rays really depends on their size, they grow quite slowly so the difference in price between a 4" ray and a 6" ray can be quite significant, i paid £90 for my 6" motoro so around £50 or £60 is about right for a 4 inch specimin.

that might be it then these were 5" IIRC, i'll check the list if it's still aorund on friday.

they were poly... motoro

dont know wot happened, all water test were fine, but was watching at 5pm swimming around the tank fine 20mins later found her in the corner curled and dead :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :-( :-(

oh crap, very sorry to hear that, she was a beutiful.

might be the wrong time to be saying this but I hope your covered by a live fish gurantee or something.

Just a tip.....don't chuck the corspe. Take it back to your fish shop and they will beable to claim from the supplier if they have the fish....it's what we do on any expensive fish that die in the shop.

thanks paul i just called him at the lfs and all he said was thats joys of keeping rays and theres nothing he can do

well yeah i agree we have had that fish little over 24 hours well although i know him i wont going there again.
