I always take some water and the fish and put back in a bag after acclimatising and then float it to get to temp then add

I think he started acclimating before he floated the back to get it back up to temp.

I never float the bag before acclimatising as the temp will change anyway. I put it in a bucket and then as I said add back to a bag to float for a bit

I just let the bag float in the tank water surface and drip acclimate for an hour or six!

You worry way too much, if you have acclimatised just put in the tank
